Significance of the Activity

            An electronic portfolio (e-portfolio) is a collection of electronic evidence assembled and managed by a user, usually on the web. It may contain text, video, audio, files and hyperlinks. The wed serves as an ideal home for electronic portfolios to be shared with all different kinds of audience, the speed and ease in which e-portfolios can be viewed is just one more  example of crowd accelerated innovation . Traditional portfolios used to be mostly written but these e-portfolios are composed of writing, as well as pictures, audio and videos. Therefore, e-portfolios are highly recommended to use than the traditional portfolios.

Having e-portfolios is very important for us students because it serves as a remembrance of our college life. We are able to spread also information about what we have learned in EDUCATION 103 (assessment of learning). It can also help us to find a crowd where we can share a common interest. It provides light and visibility, focusing on what we are capable of helping to enhance our capabilities. We are also forced to reflect on what we have learned and how we plan to build and improve in the future. This helps us to become more critical thinkers and to develop our writing and multimedia skills. E-portfolio can also help us in applying a job especially to us, future teachers. We can boast that we are somewhat computer literate because we had our e-portfolio back in collage. It can give us a chance to be hired and teach. Therefore, e-portfolios are important for us students.
